Do you feel the weight of the world shifting on your shoulders? Brace yourself, you're about to feel a little bit guilty when you hear about Alessandra Sheppard's life. She was born on a day in May. The day barely matters. And you're wrong; it wasn't the day that the world started, or the sun finally shined after a world full of depression. You couldn't even say it was a normal day. Because it wasn't; this golden girl was born. And ever since that day, sorrow stroke her life, and she began to die. She lost days she would never get back. But there she is, still standing tall, through it all. "What is this child doing?" her parents would say to eachother. She wasn't even sure, but now she know exactly what she was doing. She was trying to live her life, and have fun with herself, before she would become nothing but a third-wheel; entertainer; joke to everyone.
She grew up, and it was time to let her off into the realm and gossipy nature of junior high. She was treated like nothing. She spent years hearing compliments from her neighbors, and relatives, which were all a way to raise self esteem... because they knew that soon enough, she would get a crack in her life, and it would be a huge downfall from there. And guess what, they were right. They were all right.
She took the road down easy life for a few years, and let people push her around. She felt rejected, but she tried her hardest to keep up with her brother and sister; her biggest idols. But who was she kidding? She wouldn't ever be as important as them. She let people throw her around, back and forth. She was treated like trash by the people she didn't know. She went through her middle school years without a single friend. She was throwing everything she had in her right out the window. She wouldn't speak to anyone, and she always asked if she could sit in the back corner. And she was put there, without question. Alessandra wasn't seriously unfortunate looking, but she wasn't gorgeous.
She hid behind her fake smile for years, until she realized that it wasn't getting her anywhere. She had friends, but they weren't real. She stopped trying for people. She made ingravements deep into her wrists, and saw a therapist. Her parents seemed as if they were acknowledging it too. And for a little while, she was okay with getting torn apart, and just running into her room crying into her pillow wishing her high school years would be better. And they did... things began to shape up. She bumped into a boy one day, who she had known since she was only born. They don't fall in love in the end... but they definatley become tighter then your size zero jeans. He showed her the way, and brought her towards a better life. Sure, drama was along the way, and it was going to come up down the road. But she couldn't have asked for anything better.
